In this tutorial we will create a tiger skin text using Adobe Photoshop CS2. We will create tiger skin using different filter.

Create new document.

Set foreground & background colors as in image.

Create new layer and apply clouds filter to this layer (Filter > Render > Clouds).

Apply photocopy filter to same layer (Filer > Sketch > Photocopy) using these settings.

Apply Smudge Stick filter to same layer (Filter > Artistic > Smudge Stick) using these settings.

Now Add Noise filter to same layer (Filter > Noise > Add Noise) using these settings.

Apply Motion Blur filter to same layer (Filter > Blur > Motion Blur) using these settings.

Now write a text “T”.

Create “Clipping Mask” Press “Alt” key and click middle of both layers. Or right click on top layer and choose “Create Clipping Mask”.

Create New Layer under the text layer.

Select the “Brush Tool” and press “F5” choose “Brush Preset” as in image. In Brush Presets click on “Color Dynamics” set as in image.Create hair around the text using brush with small diameter on layer 2.

Final Output.
